Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss also known as HotA is a fan-made full scale add-on for Heroes of Might and Magic III, designed to continue the classical Heroes 3 add-on series of RoE/AB/SoD. The aim of the project is to create an add-on for Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death with lots of new features. The main focus of add-on is the quality of every single aspect of the modded game. This includes the careful fixes of the original game balance, removal of the graphical imperfections left by the developer, and of course, a huge amount of new content, like new campaigns, new map objects and even a new playable faction - The Cove. The project pretends to be fully lore-wise and keeps connection with the original Might and Magic universe.

Besiege the castle that’s never been taken, overthrow ruthless tyrants, bankroll your faction’s war effort, pillage your neighbour’s resources, peacefully raise cattle or do it all! A range of stats, rankings and achievements gives every player something to aim for, from ‘Banquet King’ and ‘Peacebringer’ to 'Besieger of the Month' and ‘Lionheart'! Factions, elections, liege lords and their vassals all provide a real sense of structured community, with many different ways to chat with other players, discuss strategies and build allegiances. Starting as a humble peasant, each promotion brings with it valuable research points to spend on trading, diplomacy, warfare, farming, religion and more. Be aware though, as your power grows so does your responsibility. Your vassals and parishioners will look to you for guidance and leadership. You may find yourself fighting for the crown itself!

9th Dawn

9th Dawn is an old school tile base fantasy role playing game. It harkens back to the days of Ultima 4 or 5, or similar tile based games of the mid to late 1980s. The game took quite a long time to finish so there is a lot to see and explore in 9th Dawn. 9th Dawn II is in the works and I for one look forward to that.
